Skylark is only five minutes from downtown Ashland, a dynamic small town with shops, bookstores, movies, and a lively cultural life. The local senior center, churches, and community organizations offer friendship and a wealth of activities.  Ashland is the home of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and Southern Oregon University, which hosts classes for seniors and the general community.
